My story started in an artistic household. I joined our family band at 4 years old, playing West African drums throughout my small Florida town until high school. My brother was in bands, my Dad was a jazz historian, and my mother started creative businesses compulsively while working forty corporate hours a week. She just couldn't help it. Neither can I.

While studying art, culture and critical theory, I somehow landed in my college's startup accelerator. From it came my first venture: Body//Talk. For five years, we reached thousands of lonely Orlando Millennials, helping them put their phones down and connect. We raised money for Bernie Sanders. We fueled an NPR changemakers campaign.
